The short version
PDF editing, timer sessions, and vault operations are designed to run in your browser. We do not send your selected documents or vault passphrase to a file-processing server. The contact form is different: information you choose to submit there is sent to us so that we can respond.
Files and vault content
When you choose a PDF, image, or note in an Awesome Crate tool, the app processes it in the browser on your device. We do not operate a server-side queue that receives those files for conversion. Secret Vault encryption also happens locally; your vault passphrase is not submitted to us.
Browser storage
Some tools use browser storage, including IndexedDB, to keep active work available after a refresh or accidental tab close. That data stays in your browser profile unless you export it. Private-browsing sessions, clearing site data, resetting the browser, or storage cleanup can remove it. Export important work and keep backups you control.
Contact messages
If you use the contact form, we process the category, message, optional email address, and optional subject that you submit. To protect the form from abuse, we use Cloudflare Turnstile and keep a short, one-way hash of the submitting IP address for rate limiting. Contact messages may be queued in our contact database and sent to our email provider so we can respond.
Advertising and third-party requests
If advertising is enabled, an advertising provider may set or read cookies and receive standard browser and device information under its own policies. Cloudflare Turnstile is loaded on the contact page to prevent automated spam. These services are separate from local document processing. We do not sell your documents or vault content.
Your choices and questions
You can avoid local storage by not saving work in the app, clear site data through your browser, and choose not to use the contact form. To ask about a contact submission or this policy, email contact@anirone.com.
