About Awesome Crate
Awesome Crate is a crate of small tools. Each one does a single job properly, runs entirely in your browser, and does not ask you to sign up for anything.
Why it works this way
Most free file tools work by uploading your document to a server, processing it there, and handing back a link. That means a copy of your file sits on someone else's computer, and you have to trust a promise about what happens to it next.
Browsers can do this work themselves now. So these tools do the processing on your device instead. Three things follow from that, and all three are good:
- Your file is never uploaded, so there is nothing to leak or misuse.
- There is no queue and no upload wait — the work happens locally.
- Once a page has loaded, the tools keep working without a connection.
What is in the crate
- PDF Studio — Edit, build and reformat PDFs
- Timelapse — Focus sessions that build a streak
- Secret Vault — Encrypted diary & .vault notes that never leave your device
PDF Studio is available now, both as a full editor and as a set of single-purpose pages for when you only need one thing done. The focus timer and the encrypted vault are next.
How it stays free
There is no paywall, no watermark and no account. Hosting and domain costs are covered by advertising, which we try to keep out of your way: you will see an ad while a file is being prepared for download, not layered over the thing you are working on.
If you use an ad blocker, the tools still work. We will ask once, politely, and you can carry on either way. There is more on that in why ads matter here.
A word of caution
Because your work is saved in your browser rather than on a server, it is subject to your browser's rules. Clearing site data removes it, and some mobile browsers clear it automatically after a while. Download anything you would be upset to lose.

Bug reports and requests are welcome at contact@anirone.com. If a particular PDF does not process correctly, describing what you were trying to do is genuinely useful.
